If the radical styling of the Nissan Juke didn’t exactly win you over, then maybe fitting it with the engine and all-wheel drive system of the Nissan GT-R will – because that’s exactly what the Juke-R has.
For now it is still a one-off concept, with only two examples set to be made – one in left-hand drive and the other in right-hand drive. The car is being built in cooperation with motorsport outfit, RML, with first tests expected to take place in November.
In addition to the twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine, the Juke-R also gets the same six-speed dual-clutch transaxle as the GT-R, as well as 20-inch Rays forged wheels, flared wheel arches, revised front and rear bumpers, and a split rear wing.
Although the Juke R is only a concept for now, Nissan is looking to see how the public will react to the Juke-R before putting a sporty version of the Juke on sale. Build it Nissan! Build it!
