![]() Morgan is set to revive its legendary Threewheeler model in 2011. According to autocar.co.uk the British manufacturer will be bringing the model back 58 years after the last one was made, and like the original it will be powered by a motorcycle unit. A 1800cc Harley Davidson unit with 100hp is expected to power the new Threewheeler, with that power going through a Mazda 5 speed gearbox before propeling the car from 0-60 mph in 4.5 sec and a top speed of 115 mph. The Threewheeler fits in to Morgan's plan of downsizing and at the same time "expanding the range and returning to its roots". The price for the Threewheeler shall be released closer to its launch. Being both a succesful TV personality and the world's biggest petrolhead definitely has its perks. For example, you get to be one of the first people to sample the new Morgan Aero Supersports coupe. Jay Leno chats with company owner Charles Morgan, and takes the Supersports for a nice V8-sounding drive. When Morgan introduced its Aero 8 back in 2001, it really was a breath fresh air considering how long they've been producing the Morgan Plus models. The Aero 8 received a few updates in the years it's been in production, among them being a mild facelift and a new engine. |
