Britain’s popular Vauxhall VXR8 sports sedan has been replaced by a new version, the VXR8 GTS.
The new VXR8 GTS seems set to offer yet another appealing value-for-money performance package from Britain’s GM brand. The previous naturally-aspirated 6.2-litre LS3 engine has been ditched in favour of GM’s LSA engine (found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Cadillac CTS-V), a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine producing 576bhp and 545lb ft of torque.
The long-awaited Mercedes Benz S-Class is officially here, and already it looks set to offer great levels of luxury in the large sedan segment.
Mercedes Benz is calling it the best car in the world, and it most probably will be for a lot of people. The motoring press is very excited about it too, not only because “S-Class” is one of biggest names in the luxury car segment, but also because of the amount of new technology it promises to offer.
The much-awaited Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S have been revealed, and they look set to truly offer new levels of performance for the 911 range.
Both Turbo models come with a twin-turbo 3.8-litre flat-six, with the Turbo producing 520hp and the Turbo S giving out 560hp – all of them send power through a seven-speed double-clutch transmission (no manual gearbox is available). Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 3.2 seconds in the Turbo, and 3.1 seconds in the Turbo S, with both of them reaching a top speed of 318km/h.
Making a station wagon exciting will always be a hard task. Cars like the Audi RS4, Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, or Cadillac CTS-V are a few examples of exciting station wagons. But they do cost a lot of money, and if you remove their high-performing engines and suspension you’re left with regular family station wagons. The Kia Cee’d Sportswagon is yet another example of an inconspicuous station wagon, and while there’s nothing exciting about the way it looks, it has proved to be a rather nice car to live with.
Over the past few weeks and months, Mercedes Benz have been giving us glimpses to what the new S-Class will look like. However, this leaked photo shows us what the next S-Class will very likely look like. An official reveal should be approaching soon, make sure to come back for more details.
