Last week, Maserati revealed the race ready version of its Gran Turismo, the Gran Turismo MC. Designed to compete in the GT4 European Cup, it comes complete with a stripped out interior, modified bodywork, a much louder 4.7l V8, and a faster shifting version of the MC Shift gearbox. Since last week, Maserati have finally released a video of its new MC racer going round the Paul Ricard circuit. We can't wait to see it go head to head against the other GT4 machines. While car manufacturers struggle to make sales of brand new vehicles worldwide, it seems like some people in Iraq are more than happy to splash some cash on a new car. A story on CNN.com tells us all about it. The nex Vauxhall Insignia VXR is here complete with a brand new all drive system. The hot Insignia models come with an ECOTEC 2.8l twin-scroll turbo V6 engine, producing 325 hp, with acceleration from 0-60 mph taking 5.8 sec and on to an elctronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The Mercedes Benz E63 AMG was revealed a few days ago, and it must be that it looks mighty impressive in the photos. Now we got some driving footage, and it still looks good in motion. But one thing that absolutely stands out from this car, is the noise it makes. Its 6.2 l V8 engine makes a noise that would put muscle cars to shame. It's wonderful. A few pics have surfaced on the internet to give us an idea of what the AMG versions of the facelifted S class will look like. The AMG cars still have the same power as the previous versions, 518 hp from the 6.2l V8 for the S63, and 604 hp from the 6.0l twin-turbo V12 for the S65. AC Cars is back with an updated version of the very much loved, AC Cobra. But were you able to look underneath its hood, you wouldn't find a Big Block Ford V8, but rather a GM sourced small block. It's the 6.2 liter V8 that can be found in the Chevrolet Corvette, which produces 437 hp in GT guise, and 647 hp in GTS guise. Attach that power to a lightweight aluminium body of only 1025kg, and the result is a rocketship on four wheels, 0-60 mph takes only 3.3 seconds for the GTS version. Last week Jeep unveiled its all new Grand Cherokee set to go on sale in 2010, however Jalopnik.com have been lucky enough to get what are teaser sketches of the SRT8 version of the all new Grand Cherokee. It has been a while since winter ended, but we thought a video of a Porsche C4S going sideways in the snow is worth posting. When the Range Rover Sport was introduced in 2005, it was supposed to be a miniature Range Rover with sportier handling characteristics. This sent many pulses racing, as the word 'sportier' with SUVs normally means sacrificing its off road capabilities. Gladly this was not the case. The Range Rover Sport proved to be a great companion on the road, while still managing to make proud the Land Rover name. Mercedes Benz have decided to give us a few pics of its upcoming SLS supercar (replacement for the SLR). They have been good enough to show us what the interior really looks like, but they're still making us wait a little longer for any real exterior shots. What we have of the exterior so far are some mouthwatering sketches of what's to come. |
